I began my trade mark career working in the intellectual property department of a multinational engineering group, based in the Midlands. I joined Forresters in 1991. I practice in all areas of trade mark work, including advising upon the availability and registrability of trade marks; filing and prosecuting of UK, Community, international, and foreign trade mark applications; and contentious trade mark matters including filing and prosecuting oppositions, revocations, and applications for invalidity. I also advise on preparing and recording UK, Community, international and foreign trade mark assignments, as well as infringement and passing off matters.

When I am not in work I enjoy a wide range of activities including swimming (as a means of keeping fit), and cycling (purely for recreation – there are some very picturesque routes in the AA Guide to Cycle routes in the UK). I also relax by reading, doing embroidery, and working in my garden.
