Nick Palmer

My background is in Computer Science, which I studied at Warwick University. My main interests in this area include studying the complexity of algorithms, and artificial intelligence, particularly in the fields of machine-learning and autonomous systems.

I joined Forresters in 2008, having obtained a doctorate for my research into machine-learning. I am involved in all areas of intellectual property, with the majority of my work involving drafting and prosecuting patent applications for mechanical and other inventions. I also assist in the areas of trade mark and design registration, and have experience in the area of web-design. Aside from this, I have a keen interest in the software industry and an in-depth knowledge of the games business.

In my spare time I enjoy listening to music, and spend much of my time playing, and writing music for, the guitar. It is fair to say that I have a love of food, and enjoy cooking (and eating) whenever I get the chance.
