Sam Jinks

I graduated from Cardiff University in 2007 with a BEng (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering and joined Forresters in 2008. My background is both engineering and IT-based and prior to joining Forresters I worked in aerospace engineering, focusing on pilot life support systems and in nuclear power generation, investigating the effect of radiation on reactor cores.

Since joining Forresters I have been involved with patent prosecution and opposition work in a wide variety of technological fields, from automotive safety and the purely mechanical to the electronic and computer-oriented in both the UK and Europe. In addition to this, I have advised clients in proceedings before the Patents County Court, as well as handling a number of registered designs.

Outside work, I am a keen musician being an experienced ’cellist and an avid DJ and have performed extensively in both capacities. I also have a passion for cookery, reading comical and travel literature and trips abroad.
