Forresters partner Charlotte Teall takes on the Barcelona Ironman® 70.3® during the INTA conference

Charlotte Teall (left in the photo) successfully took part in the Barcelona Ironman® 70.3® with a group of IP attorneys from across the globe that happened to coincide with the annual INTA conference.
Charlotte tends to prefer running in mud and climbing over obstacles, than taking on an endurance triathlon, but is always ready for a challenge. After months of training for the various disciplines, Charlotte managed to complete the tough course consisting of a 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bicycle ride and 13.1 mile run (hence the 70.3®) in just over 7 hours. The event started with an early morning swim in the sea off Garbi beach in Calella around 40 km from Barcelona. After that, the cycle ride was the toughest part of the course with three seemingly never-ending hills that ventured into the beautiful Montseny natural park. The downhill sections were adrenaline fuelled with some very tight bends that caught some competitors out. Fortunately, Charlotte made it to the end of the cycle leg with only tired legs. It was then onto the run section which looped backwards and forwards along the beach passed sunbathers relaxing on the beach with ice creams. Happily, there were plenty of water and refuelling stops along the way, which broke up the run and helped competitors to cool down in the midday heat.
Charlotte was very relieved to see the finish line and receive a beer shortly after. It was then back to Barcelona to join the INTA conference and to host the Forresters INTA reception at the Fabrica Moritz brewery, which by all accounts was a resounding success.
