This year, rather than send Christmas cards, Forresters is donating money to the Cancer Counselling Trust.
Cancer is a disease that is not only physically debilitating but also emotionally stressful. The implications associated with the word “cancer” mean that the emotional strain associated with the disease often extends not only to the patients, but also to their families and friends.
The Cancer Counselling Trust is a UK-based charity which provides counselling support to people affected by cancer. This includes the patients with the disease as well as those closest to them.
The support provided by the trained counsellors extends beyond an understanding of the disease and its treatments. The counsellors also help affected individuals deal with the psychological impact that the disease has on them and their relationships.
We are pleased to be able to support the Cancer Counselling Trust with their important work.
