Forresters Supports the Motor Neurone Disease Association

This year, rather than send Christmas cards, Forresters is donating money to the Motor Neurone Disease Association.

Motor Neurone Disease (MND) is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that attacks the upper and lower motor neurones. Degeneration of the motor neurones leads to weakness and wasting of muscles, causing increasing loss of mobility in the limbs, and difficulties with speech, swallowing and breathing.

The Association funds and promotes research to understand what causes MND, how to diagnose it and, most importantly, how to effectively treat it so that it no longer devastates lives.

They also campaign nationally and locally for better care for all people with MND, and provide support and advice to help people with the disease and those who care for them to achieve the highest quality of life possible.

This year, the Motor Neurone Disease Association unveiled a six-year plan setting out how we will move towards our vision of a world free of MND.

We are pleased to be able to support the Motor Neurone Disease Association with their important work.
