Forresters supports the Birmingham Children’s Hospital
This year, rather than sending Christmas cards, Forresters is donating money to Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
The hospital treats over 225,000 sick children every year, many facing incredibly difficult circumstances, and is the only children’s hospital in the UK to offer both an Emergency Department and the full range of specialist clinical services.
Birmingham Children’s Hospital has a world-renowned Intensive Care Unit, Paediatric Clinical Research Facility and Burns Unit. It is a designated centre for cardiac surgery, surgery of the face and skull, skin blistering conditions, eye cancer, inherited metabolic disorders, and liver and small bowel transplants, and patients at the hospital come from far and wide.
Our recent fundraising activities and Christmas donation have contributed to helping Birmingham Children’s Hospital provide art and play facilities for children and teens, improve the care environment for the patients and their families, repair and restore their building, purchase medical equipment, and fund research and development.
