I joined Forresters in 2003 after graduating from Bristol
University with a Masters degree in Electrical and Electronic
Engineering.
I draft and prosecute UK, European and international patent
applications. I also coordinate patent protection and filing
strategies in other countries around the world. I am actively
involved in examination, appeal and opposition hearings at the
European Patent Office.
I assist companies and solo inventors in obtaining patent
protection for their inventions. My work covers a wide range of
technical fields including telecommunications, electronics,
computer software, mechanical devices, automotive and bicycle
technologies, medical devices and clean/green energy
technologies.
I qualified as a Patent Attorney Litigator in 2014 with a
certificate in IP litigation and advocacy from Nottingham Trent
University. Since then I have conducted patent litigation in
the Intellectual Property Enterprise Court and advised on
litigation in the High Court.
I am also experienced in filing and prosecuting European
Community registered design applications, as well as developing
filing strategies to maximise the scope of registered design
protection.
In my spare time I enjoy cycling, hiking, brewing beer, digital
photography and experimenting with gadgets and technology.
