I graduated from the University of Leeds with a BSc (Hons) in biochemistry and genetics. I joined Forresters in 2001 and specialise in patent prosecution in the UK, Europe and elsewhere. I mainly work in the fields of biotechnology, pharmaceuticals and medical devices.

I have particular experience of patent prosecution before the European Patent Office, including experience with opposition and appeal procedures. I also assist clients in obtaining Supplementary Protection Certificates and have comprehensive experience of the application of the transitional provisions of the Supplementary Protection Certificate Regulations by countries that have become member states of the European Patent Convention in recent years.

In my free time I enjoy socialising. Unlike most of my colleagues, I have an aversion to sports (both playing and watching)!
