Steve Lane

UK Registered Trade Mark Attorney, European Trade Mark Attorney

I graduated with a Bachelors of Science degree majoring in pharmacology from the University of Auckland, New Zealand and a LLB from the University of Victoria, New Zealand. In 2001, I was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand. I subsequently qualified as a British and European Trade Mark Attorney in 2003 and I am recognised as a professional representative before OHIM (the Community Trade Mark Office).

I now specialise in all aspects of trade mark law in the UK and overseas, including selecting, registering and protecting trade marks worldwide. I am also heavily involved in contentious issues, including oppositions, infringement and invalidity proceedings. My experience also extends to anti-counterfeiting matters.

Outside of work, I have a keen interest in sports having played professional football in the United Kingdom. I also like to think I can play golf!
