I joined Forresters in 2001 and since then have advised clients on a wide spectrum of technologies. My day-to-day work involves the prosecution of patent and design applications for my clients’ products and advising clients in relation to mechanical inventions, including vacuum cleaners, vehicle components and scaffolding. I also specialise in the protection of medical devices. I often advise in relation to other technologies, such as those which are computer-related. I also assist clients with the protection of their trade marks, which is a very important part of any business – branding in the 21st century is often more important than the product itself.

When I'm not in the office I am an avid cyclist. I spend many weekends either road racing or time trialling and a recent summer holiday was spent cycling along the East coast of the USA, from Miami to New York.
