Second Line IT Support
The main purpose of the Second Line IT Support role is to carry out the required tasks to administer and support our users and IT infrastructure. As part of a team of dedicated IT technicians, you’ll be providing 2nd Line support to our company and its users. You will be expected to manage your working day with your own user technical issues, project tasks and be a point of escalation for Junior IT support staff.
The Second Line IT Support Technician, alongside our other team members, will provide support to over 120 users both local and remote. You will troubleshoot server, network, desktop, software, telephony and printing issues. You will regularly carry out checks to ensure that the company backups are completed successfully. Our IT systems are always evolving, and you will be involved in the installation, upgrade and maintenance of them.
Project work will be varied and will include the installation and configuration of hardware and software including servers, mobile devices and other key systems. Although you will be based in either our London or Birmingham office (flexible depending on the right candidate), the role supports users and systems based over all our offices. Planned travel to our other regional offices will be a part of this role.
